<p>As <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/world/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with World">world</a> is growing, revolutionary tools and techniques are coming up and out of them some have proved themselves to be the essential part of our day to day life.</p>
<p>Digital <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/media/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with media">media</a> has shown significant impression on human activities. Whether it may be personal connection, selling/purchasing, distance communication, <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/social/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Social">social</a> shopping, globalization, Election system, etc&#8230;the world has come into the fist of every single individual. Strangers became known ones and all these things are possible just because of the invention &amp; usage of <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/online/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Online">online</a> media which is now better known as <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/social/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Social">Social</a> Media.</p>
<p>Social media is a platform that provide users the ability and tools to create and publish their own mini web sites or web pages. Most of the content is generated by the users/individuals. It allows a high degree of participation &amp; interaction among the users, along with this it easily integrates with other sites.</p>
<p>Two important aspects of Social media are Social Media <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/marketing/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Marketing">Marketing</a> &amp; Social Media Monitoring. Both of these are having their own attributes &amp; usages. But here i would like to emphasize on <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/marketing/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Marketing">marketing</a> of social media.Social media <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/marketing/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Marketing">marketing</a> aka SMM is a widely used tool to enhance business development.</p>
<p>Well now the question arise why their is so much buzz around SMM?? Why their is a sudden drift in the marketing tactics?? Why their is transformation from traditional media marketing to SMM?? What is the need of social media marketing??</p>
<p>So many questions but the answer is only one &amp; that too very simple one&#8230;&#8217;CUSTOMER&#8217;, yeah customer as they are the king of the market and the companies want to serve them in the best possible manner. So, to lure more customers &amp; to lionize them companies want to know the need of their king &amp; work accordingly. In present scenario all online medias are deluged with the thoughts of customers, their likes &amp; dislikes in order to have the true comments about their products/services, companies are focusing on Social Media Marketing.</p>
<p>During the initial phase of social media users were only able to read it &amp; the post-impression activity was dismal. But as the time passes organizations started to realize the strength of social media &amp; start capturing upon it by making up-gradations in 1.0 &amp; came with 3.0 where customers can read and write which means to &amp; fro communication between the customers &amp; companies is possible. </p>
<p>Another thing which needs an attention is the day to day changes in social media marketing. I should also point out here that what the web, in particular social media, looks like today will be very different next month, next year, and going forward. Be prepared to change. Be well- equipped to get adopted to the new changes &amp; move ahead on your pavement with victory and celebrations.</p>
<p>Also it is arguable whether &#8216;Social Media&#8217; is the best label for the thing we&#8217;re talking about, but it&#8217;s the one that is stuck for now. The future of Social media marketing is going to be interesting one.</p>

<p>I am no longer me, I am no longer in solitude. It presents an equal opportunity platform to broadcast and publish at will, earning audiences and prominence that directly align with the level of individual participation and investment in engagement.</p>
<p>Social media simply follow the principles of democracy and allowing us to live our life in a better way. I believe that social media is not owned, it is shared. It is for the people, by the people and to the people. Living in a democratic society it was essential for us to have some thing which is easily available, cost-<a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/effective/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Effective">effective</a> and shows real time results and social media sets perfectly on all such parameters.</p>
<p>We are <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/free/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Free">free</a> to share our experiences, thoughts about any brand/service. With the sharing of thoughts brands can easily identify &amp; analyze the desires of customers regarding any particular brand/service. In fact they are establishing countless relationships on-line that have been the basis for off-line interactions, and also use the social web to reinforce relationships that were established off-line.</p>
<p>The social web has had enormous impact on everything from our social lives, to our professional lives, to how we discover, purchase and discuss products and services. Its democratic nature has made our life very easy &amp; comfortable.</p>
<p>Social media is for all either <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/industry/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Industry">industry</a> or individual. For individuals, it represents the <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/democratization/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Democratization">democratization</a> of media and equalization of influence. The socialization of media affects and empowers more than traditional media or any other forms of advertisement. Essentially all brands are entitled to become media, earn audiences and build on-line communities which helps both the brand as well as consumers.</p>
<p>The most significant attribute of democratization of social media is, it&#8217;s openness &amp; transparency, where all are free to give and take their thoughts.The best example of social media&#8217;s democracy is Iranian democracy of social media.</p>
<p>As Iranian bloggers have increased their presence on the Internet and activists have geared the power of new social media, they have effectively &#8216;democratized&#8217; the media in Iran, according to journalist Iran Davar Ardalan. She indicated that this transformation is evident in the responses to Iran&#8217;s disputed 2009 election, which demonstrated the role of the new media in Iran and the rise of citizen journalism.</p>
<p>At the end i would like to say that &#8216;You are the Media&#8217; start engaging yourself on social media sites and pour your thoughts and ideas. And allow the brands to become more active about your desires and improvisation of products/services.</p>

With <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/social/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Social">Social</a> Media gaining ground in recent years, more and more channels and communities are accessible to users where they prefer to &#8216;hang out.&#8217; </p>
<p>Users are researching blogsphere &amp; community websites for checking out reviews of products they want to buy, find solutions to their problems, or just share their views on subjects that would interest most marketers in reaching out to them. Most users feel that peer groups tend to offer a more unbiased and genuine reviews about products.</p>

Should one have a defined and serious Social Media Marketing strategy? 5.Will Social Media continue to grow at the same pace or is it reaching its saturation? 6.What will happen if search engines like Google make more radical changes to their algorithms?7.Should one have a common or a complimentary marketing message across SEO, PPC &amp; Social Media? 8.How should SEO, PPC and SMM dovetail into your online marketing strategy? What role should each play? What kind of performance can one expect from each of these marketing vehicles? 9.How does one decide how much budget one should allocate to each media? Today&#8217;s marketers need to take a fresh look at their marketing strategies when they plan their media mix of SEO, PPC, Social Media and other vehicles to deliver their marketing message. Conventional promotion techniques and approaches need to be innovated to get powerful results and fight competition. </p>
<p>One can no longer think of SEO, PPC and Social Media Marketing in isolation. SEO usually works well to serve your long-term objectives, while PPC and Social Media Marketing can be used to achieve both short-term and long term marketing objectives. </p>

However, SEO can achieve quicker results for your long-tail keywords with minimal efforts. <p>The 1980s are remembered for developments in business and technology, particularly computing. Remember your first big, clunky computer? The 1990s are remembered for advances in technology, particularly the growth of the internet and online business. Wow, how things have grown! If the 2000s are to be remembered for anything (although it is still too early to tell) it will be for developments in communication and online communities &#8211; particularly the incredible power of <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/social/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Social">social</a> media.</p>
<p>Social media gives major brands and companies some serious power and clout, but it is rarely used as it should be. Commitments to quality are often let down and overlooked; and opportunities for <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/branding/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Branding">branding</a>, direct <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/sales/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with sales">sales</a>, or indirect marketing are often passed over without thought. These missed opportunities cost businesses, so preventing them from slipping away is essential for operating a smooth business.</p>
<p>Social Media for Branding:</p>
<p>A dollar unearned is a dollar lost. Businesses are often theorizing on the value of social media for their branding efforts, but few take action and put their foot down when they should. Billions of dollars are being left on the table, particularly as major brands move onto social media services, and the value of a social media-friendly brand still is not being recognized.</p>
<p>An experiment is always worth more than inaction. Discussion on social media&#8217;s branding abilities will only take companies so far. With the low cost of social media efforts, an experiment with social media branding can generate huge returns, all with a relatively minimal level of risk.</p>

<p>SEO consultancy (and in-house efforts) was once the domain of spammy content and low quality link generation efforts. Low-cost websites were set up, poorly planned information was thrown at them indiscriminately, and marketers shot out as many links as possible. <p>However, social media has given SEO a new life. The old &#8220;SEO is spam&#8221; cliché is no more, thanks to the developments of social media. Each new social media asset is another opportunity for high quality outbound linking, and every social media conversation is another opportunity to spread links that actually add value.</p>
<p>With Twitter tweets and You Tube videos appearing in Google&#8217;s standard search results, the divide between search and social media is likely to become even smaller. Marketers accustomed to spam-style SEO tactics are in for a new surprise, while businesses that depend on high-quality social media receive a well-deserved SEO boost.</p>

<p>Social media is not a good sales platform, but it is a good resource for generating future sales. The sales process is made up of many parts, and generating prospects is one of the most important. Marketers that were once dependent on direct lead generation have a new platform available to them, particularly in open social media <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/platforms/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Platforms">platforms</a> like Twitter or MySpace. </p>

<p>&#8220;Think Globally, Act Locally&#8221; &#8211; This old age-old business adage is one global companies looking to maximize their <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/marketing/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Marketing">marketing</a> efforts should not ignore when it comes to social media <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/marketing/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Marketing">marketing</a>. In order to build credibility and earn significance within foreign social media, we must act locally when exploring opportunities globally. In order to reach target markets in different countries, international companies should deepen their knowledge of domestic social networking platforms and how different cultures use social media.</p>
<p>According to a study published at the end of January 2010, Nielsen observed the <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/online/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Online">online</a> social activity of consumers around the <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/world/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with World">world</a> and discovered an 82% increase in time spent on social networking sites in December 2009. But what social networks are these different countries using? As culture and behavior shift across countries, they also establish a new dynamic within each social network creating a universal population that adapts what they know to what they learn and experience.</p>
<p>Companies should learn how consumers around the world use social media and take advantage of the platforms to conduct consumer research, <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/launch/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Launch">launch</a> products, manage public relations crises and more. For instance, Facebookstands as the default social network, throughout much of the West, gathering all demographics. The same does not hold true in China, where <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/facebook/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Facebook">Facebook</a> was recently banned (much to the dislike of our friends at the Palo Alto headquarters), and a handful of social networks attract segmented audiences, ranging from urban youth to migrant workers. Think about it. <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/facebook/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Facebook">Facebook</a> is the largest social network globally with 500 million + active users, and China has 400 million social network profiles without having <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/facebook/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Facebook">Facebook</a> as its leader.</p>
<p>As we zoom in on social media usage in different countries, we see other established and emerging social networks that are unheard of, or not very popular in the United States. Let&#8217;s look at Brazil, the leading country in active social media usage, where Google&#8217;s Orkut dominates. In fact, over half of Orkut&#8217;s global traffic comes from Brazil, which equates to around 20 million monthly visits. And the decreasing in U.S. popularity, MySpace, has been Brazil&#8217;s third largest network for a few years. </p>
<p> Different social media usage patterns and network popularity tells a great deal about the Internet and the country involved. For example, let&#8217;s look at the Chinese culture again. The Chinese use online video platforms quite differently from how Americans use YouTube. Rather than short, silly videos, which may be popular among YouTube watchers, China&#8217;s social video platforms, Youku and Tudou, are filled with longer content, up to 70 percent of which is professionally produced. Users in China spend up to an hour per day on the sites, compared with less than 15 minutes spent by Americans on YouTube. University students in China often express skepticism when told that their country has one of the highest levels of social media engagement in the world, because they expect that the United States would rank first.</p>
<p>In a demonstration conducted by Thomas Crampton and reported in an article on The China Business Review he tells of a demonstration he conducted with a classroom of students in China. He asked the students to raise their hands if they have watched China Central Television (CCTV) in the last week &#8211; no one raised their hand. When he asked who has watched a video on Youku or Tudou in the last 24 hours, every hand in the room goes up, accompanied by amused laughter.</p>
<p>As the anecdote above shows, a well-crafted television advertisement on could miss university students entirely. The transition to social media does more than demonstrate the popularity of emerging media&#8211;it shows new media&#8217;s affect on the advertising and marketing industry as a whole. If we fail to recognize that in other parts of the world, different platforms of media are preferred to what we here in the U.S. tend to consume, we are missing a big opportunity to reach a targeted audience. In China&#8217;s <a href="http://worldbizplace.com/tag/case/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with Case">case</a>, certain demographics can no longer be reached effectively via traditional media channels, such as television.</p>
<p>In conclusion, there is no doubt that we are in the middle of an international revolution in the way people communicate on the web, and marketers are continually figuring out what this means for their marketplaces around the globe. Your international social media strategy should take into account the most popular platforms in your target market. In order to effectively reach other cultures via social media, we need to understand that social media goes beyond Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and FlickR.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t forget &#8211; regardless of country or social media platform; stay in line with your marketing objectives. Keep the consumer as a priority on every social network and in every market. That&#8217;s sound advice in any language.</p>

<p>Each C requires some mental discipline and emotional discipline. When you are feeling Desperate I can almost guarantee you feel the urge to abandon each positive C and focus on a negative C: Competition.</p>
<p>You fear other people &#8211; i.e. competition &#8211; will beat you to prospects so you engage in silly competitive practices like trying to add friends at a breakneck pace or shoving your home based opportunity down people&#8217;s throats. I bet you are not getting any results with that method you came up with.</p>

<p>Forget about the number of friends you have because some of us have 3 thousand friends and have not called any of them. <p>Be calm. Stick to the 3 C&#8217;s and grow your business the right way.</p>

<p>Your business will grow in relation to the value which you bring to the table (2nd C) and the number of connections you make.</p>
<p>Engage your friends, Share their content. Comment on their content. Send them appreciative messages. Give, give, give. You must give to receive, Connect.</p>
<p>Each connection you make leverages your presence. Connections spread the word about your opportunity. They might join your opportunity.</p>
<p>They trust you because you connected with them. You didn&#8217;t try to sell them or market something to them. You gained their trust by treating them like a special person and a connection naturally formed.</p>
<p>#2 Creation</p>
<p>What do you bring to the table?</p>
<p>How much creating are you doing? How many blog posts or articles have you written? How many videos have you uploaded? How many people from your facebook friends list have you called?</p>
<p>Authorities bring value to Facebook each day. Help enough people with your content and you become an expert.</p>
<p>#3 Consistency</p>
<p>Persistence is Key.</p>
<p>Make connections and create content on a consistent basis. Stick with it and you will Gain momentum.</p>
<p>Eventually you hit Face Book critical mass where prospects find you with greater ease. It seems like each blog post you share on Face Book attracts more prospects, more of your connections lead to business partnerships. Remember face Book has over 500 Million people on it, your opportunities are limitless.</p>
